Framed or Unframed Prints
Choose a framed Crystal Light print when you would like the artwork to arrive ready to hang. Choose an unframed print when you want to use your own frame or work with a local framer.
Both options begin with the same artwork, printed on 250 gsm museum-quality archival matte paper. The paper is acid-free, uncoated and naturally off-white.
What an unframed print includes
The unframed option is the paper print, supplied without a frame. It gives you room to choose a finish that matches artwork you already own, add a separate mount or arrange custom framing.
The white gallery border is part of the Crystal Light design. If you add a mount, consider how its opening will sit around that printed border.
Before buying a separate frame, confirm the exact paper size for your order with us. Then check the frame's picture opening and mount measurements. Our print size guide will help you plan the space on your wall.
What a framed print includes
The framed options are supplied ready to hang, with shatterproof plexiglass and a hanging kit included. Choose from the four finishes shown in each product's Frame selector:
- White: a light finish to consider beside pale walls and soft furnishings.
- Natural wood: an easy starting point for rooms with timber, linen and warm neutral colours.
- Dark wood: a deeper finish to try alongside richer timber tones.
- Black: a defined outline that can connect the print with darker furniture or other black frames.
Use the frame photographs and room examples on the product page to compare them. If you need an exact overall measurement for a particular space, ask us before ordering.
How to choose between them
If you already have a frame you love, start by checking its measurements against the print you want. If you would like to choose the artwork, size and finish together, the framed option keeps those decisions in one place.
Look at the room's existing finishes rather than trying to match every colour in the image. A natural wood frame might sit comfortably with Natural Quartz, while white or black can give Blue Quartz a different presence on the same wall.
What to expect after ordering
Your artwork is made to order. The current Crystal Light range usually takes 2–5 business days to produce, followed by delivery. See our shipping policy for delivery estimates, and check the shipping charge at checkout.
Some gallery images are digital mockups, and colours may vary slightly between a screen and the finished print. Use them to explore the artwork and its setting, alongside the written product details.
